Position Description / Job Duties
Provides counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to clients and families as appropriate to the position; prepares treatment plans, termination and client referral as appropriate; provides
therapeutic crisis intervention, career counseling, and emergency services as appropriate
Collects data about clients through interview, triage/intake, psychological assessments, and /or observational techniques; evaluates data to identify causes of problems and to determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists Consults and collaborates in an integrative multidisciplinary center Ability to develop and present education outreach programs/workshops May serve as an outreach liaison on campus Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as
assigned
Provides psychological and counseling services of a remedial, preventive, and developmental nature through direct and indirect (consultation) contacts with students, faculty, and staff

Knowledge in working with diverse college age populations and cultures Knowledge of
community mental health resources Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques Knowledge of case management Knowledge and understanding of clinical counseling principles, programs and methodology Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures Knowledge and understanding
of clinical social work and mental health counseling principles, methods, procedures, and
standards Knowledge of psychological test administration, scoring, and interpretation
Knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to patients’ rights Knowledge with supervision and training
Ability to apply mental health counseling methods and techniques Ability to evaluate the
progress of therapeutic programs and to make individual modifications Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops
Trang 2Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate degree in related field of Counseling or Clinical Psychology
One (1) year of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined
PhD or All But Dissertation (ABD) with PhD in hand within one year of hire and one (1) year of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined
Must be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of New Mexico by date of employment or licensed within two (2) years as a psychology resident under supervision
Desired Qualifications
Experience with ADHD assessment and the ability to supervise interns conducting
psychological testing
Administrative and organizational skills and interest in coordinating mental health services
Experience working with Latinx clients and the ability to provide services in Spanish
Compensation
$56,100 - $65,000 target entry commensurate with qualifications
