The Temple University Aramark Student Recreation & Training Center (STAR) Complex sits on a four-acre site and includes an enclosed 60-yard football practice field‚ recreational facilities‚ a neighborhood recreational track‚ classroom space for the College of Public Health‚ green stormwater infrastructure‚ and a landscaped entry plaza Langan provided site/civil engineering‚ landscape architecture‚ and survey services to facilitate the development

In addition to providing design and engineering services‚ Langan was responsible for securing land development permits from the Philadelphia Water Department and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection

In order to accommodate a rapidly growing student population‚ Swarthmore College added a 128-bed residence hall near its Palmer‚ Pittenger and Roberts residence-hall complex Langan provided site/civil‚ survey‚ and geotechnical engineering services to facilitate designing‚ permitting‚ and constructing the new residence hall The project was designed to minimize environmental impact by following the recommendations established in the college's sustainability framework To meet the college's sustainability goals‚ Langan worked closely with the project landscape architect‚ Studio Bryan Haynes‚ to design the site to preserve trees‚ respect the ball fields adjacent to the resident-hall quadrant‚ provide outdoor space for student enjoyment‚ provide low-impact

stormwater-management features‚ and conserve energy Langan's experience with designing and permitting innovative stormwater management on tight urban sites was a key contribution to the success in the design and approval process for this project

As a central connection point to several buildings on campus‚ High Street from McCartney Street to Anderson Courtyard is a high-traffic pedestrian zone Prior to completion of this project‚ pedestrian safety along this portion

of roadway was challenged by parallel parking and crosswalks with limited visibility

Langan work closely with Lafayette‚ providing planning‚ design and construction services implementing: removal

of street parking; traffic calming measures; improved pedestrian crossings; and upgraded sidewalks along the length of the street

Lafayette College's approximately 80‚000-SF new Integrated Science Center is situated on Anderson Courtyard and adjacent to the Acopian Engineering Center Designed to achieve LEED Gold certification‚ this new science building will include space for biology‚ computer science‚ geology‚ life sciences and environmental science Langan is the site/civil consultant for the project and responsible for landscape architecture and planning‚ as well

as site feasibility services to evaluate various site configurations‚ zoning and code implications Langan was also responsible for the preparation of land development drawings and the submission of these drawings to local‚ county and state review agencies

university's satellite Camden Campus The new 100‚000-SF building will include classrooms and lecture halls‚ conference rooms‚ and space for administrative faculty Langan is providing site/civil engineering‚ geotechnical engineering‚ and surveying services on the project We performed a geotechnical subsurface investigation for the proposed new school building in order to obtain subsurface data necessary to develop foundation‚ earthwork‚ and site and subgrade preparation recommendations Langan's site/civil engineers have coordinated our design work with the project team and Rutgers University to finalize the site grading and finished floor elevations

This new 4-story‚ 24‚500-SF state-of-the-art research facility will include wet and dry laboratories‚ offices‚ and teacher and student space. Langan provided site/civil‚ geotechnical and environmental engineering‚ and surveying services for the new building Additionally‚ Langan laser scanned the existing building and created a Revit model for the architect to use for their design‚ resulting in a more seamless design and construction process We also provided geotechnical and environmental engineering support services during construction of the facility

Langan provided geotechnical and environmental engineering and surveying services for this new $100-million multipurpose event and fitness center The 200‚000-SF building will be the centerpiece of the university and provide a much needed hub for conferences and events‚ fitness and team sports practice areas‚ and student study and gatherings Langan provided preliminary environmental field investigation for areas of the build site that was formerly occupied by an auto body facility We also provided LSRP services for the review and remediation of any areas of concern Langan is currently providing geotechnical and environmental engineering support services during construction

New Jersey City University is expanding its facilities by opening a state-of-the-art educational facility in the former Squier Hall building which is situated on a 5.7-acre parcel in the northern portion of the former Army base in Oceanport Future phases are intended to expand the universities facilities to a total of 28-acres The 1935-era Squier Hall building will be renovated to hold 15 classrooms‚ various nursing labs‚ training rooms‚ offices and a small café to serve approximately 1‚000 students Langan's extensive work at Fort Monmouth provides unique understanding to the site Langan's scope includes land surveying‚ site/civil engineering design‚ landscape architecture design and preparation of drawings for the site plan application submission and construction The site plans‚ as well as all other plans‚ would be prepared in accordance with the Fort Monmouth Economic

St Joseph's University Sweeney Field and the surrounding running track Langan also provided civil and

structural engineering services for the expansion of the bleachers and press box Our team planned the project to eliminate the need for stormwater permitting‚ prepared restoration plans‚ and designed drainage improvements to alleviate problematic existing drainage conditions Additionally‚ we provided a topographic and utility surveys‚ drainage investigation and evaluation‚ and site engineering design and construction documents The university required a fast-track design and construction schedule in order to accommodate their athletics schedule Langan administrated the design‚ bidding‚ and construction to meet the demanding schedule requirements
