Doctor of Engineering Willard R Holland President and Chief Executive Officer
Ohio Edison Company Akron, Ohio Willard R Holland began his career with Detroit Edison Company in 1966 after earning the bachelor of science and master of science degrees in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
He was senior vice president of energy marketing and distribution with Detroit Edison before joining Ohio Edison Company in 1991 as president and chief operating officer He is currently president, chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Ohio Edison Company Holland also serves as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Edison's subsidiary, Pennsylvania Power Company
Holland is on the board of directors of the Edison Electric Institute and of the Association of Edison Illuminating Companies
He has been active in volunteer leadership posts for civic and professional organizations such as the Akron Children's Hospital Medical Center, the Metropolitan Affairs Corporation of Detroit, the Akron Art Museum, the Boy Scouts of America and the Ohio Business Roundtable
Doctor of Humane Letters John T Myers Member, United States House of Representatives Indiana 7th Congressional District

John T Myers has had a distinguished 30-year career in public service as the Republican congressman representing Indiana's 7th Congressional District which includes Terre Haute
He is currently the third most senior Republican in the House of Representatives and is the senior member of the Indiana Republican congressional delegation In previous sessions of Congress, Myers has served as the top Republican on the House Ethics Committee and the Post Office and Civil Service Committee
Myers has been a member of the Appropriations Committee since 1970 He now serves in the important leadership role of chairman of the Energy and Water Development Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee
In addition, he is a member of two other appropriation subcommittees As a member of the Agriculture Subcommittee, Myers had an important role in the development of the 1995 farm bill He also serves on the Military Construction Subcommittee which oversees funding to military installations worldwide

Niles L Noblitt is the co-founder of an international company that designs , manufactures and markets surgical implants, orthopedic-support devices , and various hospital supply products
Noblitt graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1973 with a bachelor of science degree in biological engineering He has been a member of the Rose-Hulman Board of Managers, the governing body for the college, since 1988 He received the Rose-Hulman Distinguished Young Alumnus Award in 1983
His current activities with Biomet include business development, strategic planning, mergers and acquistions He has been chairman since 1986 Noblitt has also served as president of Electro-Biology, a wholly owned subsidiary of Biomet
His early career with Biomet included the position of executive vice president during which he was responsible for North American operations including manufacturing, marketing, sales, research and development, quality assurance and regulatory affairs He has also served as vice president, technical affairs for the company
Doctor of Engineering Richard H Raab Retired President, Interface Associates Inc
Baltimore, Maryland Richard H Raab has served as the president of an international export trading and consulting company, and as a vice president of the Roper Corporation
After graduating from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1943 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering, Raab worked for a short time
at General Motors before serving in the U.S Navy during World War II After his military service, he worked as regional sales manager for a distributor of United States Gypsum Co
In 1958, he joined the Roper Corp and served as vice president and manager
of its Architectural Products Division Eight years later, he initiated a venture that resulted in the creation of a Roper European subsidiary that jointly owned a fabricated metal and electrical commercial building products company He was named president
of the subsidiary which had offices throughout Europe, England and Scandinavia
He left the Roper Corp in 1978 to establish Interface Associates, an export trading and consulting company that did business in Europe, the Middle East, West Africa, Latin America and South America

William R Small Vice President, Westvaco Corporation and General Manager of
Westvaco's Consumer Packaging Division
Richmond, Virginia William R Small began his career with Westvaco in 1957 after earning a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology His first engineering job was in the company's Technical Services Department at the Covington (Va.) Mill of the Bleached Board Division
During a series of promotions, Small served as assistant superintendent of the Recovery Department, superintendent of sheet finishing, plant manager, and later general manager at the company's Folding Carton Division plant
Small was elected vice president of the company in 1990 Four years later he was named assistant manager of the Bleached Board Division Earlier this year, he assumed his current post
The Consumer Packaging Division utilizes state-of-the-art printing and converting technology at seven plants to serve the packaging needs for food , cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and other consumer products in the United States and around the world
Doctor of Engineering Randall L Tobias Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Eli Lilly and Company Indianapolis, Indiana Randall L Tobias was named to the position of chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Eli Lilly and Company in 1993
He had previously been with American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) since 1964 and had been vice chairman of the board of AT&T since 1986
An Indiana native, Tobias graduated from Indiana University in 1964 He has been honored by Indiana University which presented him with its Distinguished Alumni Award Tobias has also been awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C
Tobias is vice chairman of the board of trustees of Duke University and a trustee of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation
He is also a director of the Phillips Petroleum Company, Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Knight-Ridder, Inc Tobias serves as a member of the Business Council, the Business Roundtable, the Council on Foreign Relations and the U.S.-Japan Business Council
