discover ing that ar chives collections w er e either non- ex istent, poor ly

or ganiz ed, or had been totally discar ded

T he pur pose of the or ganiz ation is to pr ovide a platfor m for em ployees

at com m unity colleges acr oss the state to for m a unified effor t to

pr eser ve the histor y of their r espective institutions, ther eby pr eser ving the histor y of the N or th Car olina Com m unity College System as a w hole.

Purpose and Mission
