DAYTON, Ohio, March 29, 1971 The Departments of Economics and Political Science at the University of Dayton are hosting the annual meeting of the Ohio
Association of Economists and Political Scientists April 2-3
Panel discussions will follow registration Friday evening at 8:00 p.m at the
~ Sheraton-Dayton Hotel and registration Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m at the
University of Dayton Registration fee is $1.00
Topics to be presented by political scientists are Constitutional Reform in Ohio; Political Participation and Pedagogy; the Military in Politics; Local Governance; American Foreign Relations; and International Organizations Relations, and Politics Topics in the economist's section are: State and Local Public Services and Their
Financing; Economic Development and Monetary and Fiscal Policy; and Price Theory
and Its Application Dr Lawrence Korb of U.D 's department of Political Science
has been selected to chair the panel on "The Military in Politics."
A noon luncheon Saturday in the Kennedy Union will conclude the meeting
Richard H Carter, chairman of the Ohio Constitutional Revision Committee will be
the speaker Mr Carter was a member of President Nixon's Task Force on Improving
the Prospects for Small Business He is currently President of the Fostoria Company
of Fostoria, Ohio, and serves as a director of the Dues Development Company of Dayton The schedules for the economists' and political scientists' section follows:
