Brief Program Description:
The Mental Health Center of Denver (MHCD) is the largest community mental health center in the region, serving approximately 10,000 people each year Clinical work spans the entire lifespan, with programs focusing on infant mental health to programs offered in nursing homes The people served represent the cultural diversity in Denver County MHCD offers a wide variety of services, including outpatient services, rehabilitation and employment services, community based services, integrated care, residential day treatment programs, psychiatric medication management, pharmacy services, and psychological assessment Services are delivered in a collaborative context on multi-disciplinary teams

Minimum Qualifications and # of openings:
4 openings for internship-ready doctoral students from an APA-approved program: one child/family generalist track position; one child/family position on our infant mental health team, Right Start for Infant Mental Health; one child/family position on our integrated Care Team; and one adult generalist track position
Student Supervisor’s Credential Level:
PsyD/PhD
Duties of Placement and Miscellaneous Information:
Internship includes a major rotation, minor rotation, psychological assessment rotation, and
consortium activities More information regarding details of major and minor rotations, the

Internship applicant interviews for child and family positions will be held on Thursday 12/8/16 and
Friday 12/9/16, and on Thursday 1/5/17 and Friday 1/6/17 for adult positions
