Brief:

Part of a £20m development, the new building

is used for a number of purposes: As the

Business School, it is part of the University and

is expected to bring an additional 2000 students

to the University It contains all the necessary

educational facilities There are teaching areas,

both for large and small groups, with quiet areas

which are conducive to solo study, a number

of leisure and relaxation areas, administration

offices, as well as a spacious cafeteria

The aim of the school is to inspire students to

be active participants in business, rather than

observers, by providing a shared space for

academics, students and enterprise, where

everyone can learn from everybody else

Solution:

We supplied samples of the furniture to the

University and their representatives visited our

showroom at our state-of-the-art 200,000 sq.ft

facility close to the motorway in Bolton to view

and evaluate the furniture in more detail before

making their final decisions

We felt that it was important for the University

representatives to see our facility so they would

be given the peace of mind that their furniture

would be supplied by a ‘True UK Manufacturer’ –

a title we are proud of

Gresham also provided a full Planning Service,

with full input from the University, Architect and

Ian Gough Our in-house Design and Graphics

Department produced a number of 2D CAD

plans, to show the proposed layouts, mood

boards etc, and 3D renders illustrating what the

chosen furniture wold look like in situ For this

stage of the process, the team used the latest

software including AutoCAD Architecture 2018,

3DStudioMAX 2018 and SolidWorks
