The role of the Dean is to provide inspirational, innovative and enterprising academic leadership to ensure that the Faculty achieves the highest academic standards and supports the achievement
of the University’s mission, vision, and overall objectives
This is a key leadership role within the University with overall responsibility for promoting the quality of education, research, and enterprise within the Faculty, combined with accountability for ensuring that it achieves its academic and nancial objectives The post holder is ultimately responsible for the development and implementation of the Faculty’s portfolio of academic provision, along with its strategies and policies
The Dean is a member of the Executive Board and the Senate of the University and is therefore expected to contribute
to the broader strategic direction of the institution and work well with colleagues across the University to support us to achieve our key objectives in line with our values The Deans are represented on Council and other committees such as the Learning and Teaching Committee, and their contributions are highly valuable to the University community At Bradford we support all of our colleagues to succeed in role and in additional to the institutional structures and Faculty leadership team,
