On October 6, 1998, Matthew Shepard, a gay student at the University of Wyoming, was beaten and left tied to a fence in the outskirts of Laramie

He died in a Fort Collins hospital on October 12 Members of the Tectonic Theater Project wrote a play based on interviews with the people of Laramie, “The Laramie Project.”
In 2008, Tectonic returned to Laramie and re-interviewed the same people Has the murder had a lasting effect on Laramie? Has Laramie changed as a result? Has America changed?
The University of Denver (as well as Naropa University in Boulder) will be among 150 theaters that will read the new epilogue, “The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later,” around the world on Oct 12 I’m joining a cast of 28 at DU that includes students, faculty, professional actors, politicians and more
