Superintendent, approves “Silly Sock Day” for Grades Pre-K - 8 on November 27, 2019

the day before the Thanksgiving Holiday

C. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, reviews the district State Assessment Presentation for Spring 2019

NJSLA, NJSLA-S Science assessment and Spring 2019WIDA ESL Assessment Results presented by the Superintendent (Attachment A)

Superintendent, approves the Integrated Pest Management Plans for Lincoln School,

Lincoln Annex, Number Three School and Number Three Annex for the 2019-2020 school year

E. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the Fairview District Gifted and Talented Program for the

2019-2020 school year

Superintendent, approves the appointment of Mrs Sasha Orellana, Fairview, NJ, to the

positon of classroom aide for the 2019-2020 school year with a salary of $10.40 an hour, (Step 1 FEA Support Staff part-time aides salary guide) pending completion of criminal history review

P. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the appointment of Ms Theresa Lopa, Fairview, NJ, to the

positon of part-time aide for the 2019-2020 school year on a sixty day (60) day trial basis with a salary of $10.40 an hour, (Step 1 FEA Support Staff part-time aides salary guide) pending completion of criminal history review

Superintendent, approves the appointment of Mrs Norma Tamborini, Fairview, NJ, to

position of Special Education Teacher, for the 2019-2020 school year with a salary of

$53,450.00 effective October 1, 2019 (FEA contract Step 1 $51,050.00 + Master’s degree stipend $ 2,400.00) pending completion of criminal history review

U. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the appointment of Ms Anna Hroncich Paramus, NJ, to the

position of Elementary Teacher, for the 2019-2020 school year with a salary of

$51,050.00 effective October 1, 2019 (FEA contract Step 1 $51,050.00) pending completion of criminal history review

V. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent , approves the appointment of Mr Sung Kim, Ridgewood, NJ, to the position of

ESL Teacher, for the 2019-2020 school year with a salary of $53,450.00 effective October 1,

2019 (FEA contract Step 1 $51,050.00 + Master’s degree stipend $2,400.00) pending

completion of criminal history review

W. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves Louis DeLisio, Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction to

temporarily work from home on a per diem, as needed basis, due to an injury, using a time sheet effective October 2, 2019

X. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approves the appointment of Betty Puente, Vice-Principal to the position

of District Data Coordinator for the 2019- 2020 school year (Non-compensated position)

Y. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the appointment of Maria Kushi, (School Safety Specialist), to

act as the School District Liaison with Local Law Enforcement for the 2019- 2020 school year (Non-compensated position)

Z. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the District Safety and Security Plan for the 2019-2020 school

year

AA. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, approves the request by the Fairview Police Department to use two (2)

district school buses on October 30, 2019 for the Halloween Fun Night Program at Columbus Park

BB.Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the request by the Fairview Police Department to speak to the

Fairview School District faculty and staff at the October 2019 faculty meeting about purchasing a T-shirt for the Santa Response Team fundraiser in which the Fairview Police Department uses the funds collected to buy holiday gifts for needy children in Fairview and children with cancer in the Hackensack Children’s Hospital

CC. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the Girl Scouts of Northern NJ to distribute informational

flyers for kindergarten students at the Lincoln Annex for the 2019-2020 school year

DD. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the Agreement with Inspired Instruction, LLC to provide

professional development workshops/coaching on curriculum writing for the 2019-2020 school year in the amount of $10,000.00 (Paid for with Title II A ESSA Grant Funds (no cost to the district) (Attachment B)

EE. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the following Jeans Days and Donations for the 2019-2020

school year:

 November 27, 2019- American legion Post # 365

 January 17, 2020- Alzheimer’s Association

 February 14, 2020- American Heart Association

 April 9, 2020-MS Foundation

 May 22, 2020-LIM Fashion Education (Ashley Riggitano Scholarship Fund)

 June 12, 2020- Lustgarten Foundation (Pancreatic cancer)

FF. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, accepts the Special Education Extraordinary Aid from the 2018- 2019

school year for the 2019-2020 school year in the amount of:

$ 211,443.00

GG. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the Monthly Nursing/Health Services Report for the month of

September 2019 (Attachment C)

HH. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, reviews and approves the Superintendent’s presentation on Strategies to

Reduce Chronic Absenteeism for the 2019- 2020 school year (Attachment D)

II. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent approves the Superintendent’s (PDP) Professional Development Plan as

mandated by the New Jersey Professional Development for School Leaders, for the 2019-2021 school years

JJ. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent approves the completed Health and Safety Evaluation of School

buildings Facilities Checklist for each district school building for

the 2019-2020 school year

KK. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the SSDS (Student Safety Data System) report on Violence,

Vandalism and Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying (HIB) for the month of

September 2019 as presented by the Superintendent (No HIB incidents Month of September 2019)

LL. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the monthly Child Study Team report as submitted by the

Superintendent, for the month of September 2019 (Attachment E)

MM. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the September 2019 Suspension report as submitted by the

Superintendent (Attachment F)

NN. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the monthly transportation incident report as submitted by the

OO. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the

Superintendent, approves the School Counseling Parental Consent Form for the

RR. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the School Business Administrator, approvesthe Memorandum of Agreement prepared by the Fairview Board of Education Negotiation Committee and the Fairview Teachers

Association in preparation of a new three-year contract from July 1, 2018 to June 30,

2021

SS. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the School Business Administrator, approvesthe 2019/2020 Special Education Contract with the Pascack Valley Regional High School District for one student at $73,350 per year Student name is not disclosed for Privacy Reasons

TT. Be it Resolved that the Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the School Business Administrator, approvesthe 2019/2020 Priority Nursing Services, Student name is not disclosed for Privacy Reasons Contract for one student at the following rates:
