The Denison Class of 2014

T he information in this report was compiled based on voluntary responses from graduating seniors to inquiries made by Career Exploration & Development (CE&D) Prior to graduation, seniors were asked to fill out a survey to share any

post-graduate plans that had been secured

In August, and again in December, the graduates who had mentioned that they continued seeking opportunities for employment or graduate school were prompted to provide up-to-date information about their post-graduate status

Finally, CE&D staff partnered with faculty and other relevant resources, including LinkedIn.com, to continue identifying the status of any remaining graduates

As a result of those efforts, this document summarizes a 6-month snapshot of the post-graduate status for 95% of the 520 members of the Class of

2014 for whom Career Exploration & Development has data

Trang 3

Overall Outcome Picture

Post-Denison Status of the Class of 2014

Nearly 90 percent (89.9%) of the Class of 2014 are either employed (full-time or part-time),

continuing their education or pursuing a service opportunity, which is up from the 87% for the

Class of 2013

NOTES:

 New for 2014, CE&D changed the reporting of “Employed” to differentiate between full-time employment (FT) vs part-time (PT), which aligns with the new standards established by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE)

for reporting employment data

 Service opportunities include Teach for America, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps, Lutheran Volunteer Corps, City Year, and Fulbright

Scholarships

 Students who reported they were not seeking either graduate school or employment (N=2)

were not counted in the total

Denison Class of 2014 graduates exceeded the national average for overall successful

outcomes by more than 8% (89.9 % vs 81.3%), according to the National Association of

Colleges and Employers (NACE), which reported results in February 2015 from 98 schools and

102,966 class of 2014 graduates
