To be admitted to the Chambers College of Business and Economics, students must have an overall GPA of 2.5 To
be directly admitted to their desired major, students must also complete the following College of Business and Economics prerequisite courses with a minimum grade of C or better:
• ECN 2020 & 2025; MTH 1120*, 1200 or 1560, & 1015; ENG 1010 & 1020; ACC 2020 & 2340 and BCOR
121 (taken at WVU)
• *Students only need to complete MTH 1200 (MATH 155) or MTH 1560 (MATH 150) Students who place directly into Calculus will not need to complete MTH 1120 (MATH 126 WVU)
Students completing this proposed pathway may choose to major within one of the following John Chambers College of Business and Economics fields:
Accounting; Economics; Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Finance; General Business; Global Supply Chain Management; Hospitality & Tourism; Integrated Marketing Communication; Management;
Management Information Systems; or Marketing; Organizational Leadership
The recommended sequence of courses for the third and fourth years of study may include required major courses in the Junior year for some majors and only BCOR courses for other majors Please refer to the College of Business and Economics website (be.wvu.edu) for recommended sequences of courses for each undergraduate major

Certain degree pathways have additional requirements for admittance:
• Accounting requires:
o B or higher in both ACC 2020 & 2340
o C or higher in MTH 1560 (MATH 150 WVU) or a grade of D in MTH 1200 (MATH 155 WVU)
• Economics requires:
o One B or higher and one C or higher in ECN 2020 & 2025
o B or higher in MTH 1560 or a grade of C in MTH 1200
• Finance requires:
o B or higher in both ECN 2020 & 2025
o B or higher MTH 1560 or a grade of C in MTH 1200
• General Business:
o Minimum of a D in MTH 1560 or MTH 1200
• Global Supply Chain Management
o B or higher in MTH 1560 or C in MTH 1200
• Hospitality & Tourism:
o Minimum of a D in MTH 1560 or MTH 1200

Students transferring to West Virginia University with an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree will have satisfied the General Education Foundation requirements at WVU
