Beginning in 2010 and working with Arizona Forward served as Vice-Chair and Chairman of the Canalscape Committee reviving a community initiative aimed at revitalizing Phoenix’s canal system; wrote original planning grant and lead design team that brought four neighboring schools into an interactive process to implement innovative design along the Arizona Canal between Central Avenue and 7th Street
