The Florida Chapter 2011 Awards/Scholarship Luncheon was called to order at 12:30 p.m by President-Elect Kim Kirby

She recognized and thanked the 2011 Steering Committee, welcomed everyone and thanked all sponsors from the past week and the luncheon sponsor, Ashbritt

President-Elect Kim Kirby introduced Corporate Events and introduced the people at the head table Al Green gave the invocation

President-Elect Kim Kirby then introduced President Ron Ribaric who spoke of the APWA National Award winners from the Florida Chapter

Scholarship Awards: Russell Ketchem

Scholarship Chairman Russell Ketchem announced and awarded $8000 total scholarships to:

At this time Jim Proce thanked all who participated in the awards program to include, all of those who worked hard on the applications, the nominees, the winners, the committee

members and the Florida Chapter Executive Board This was Jim’s last year with the Florida Chapter, as he has taken a new position as Public Works & Development Director in Rowlett Texas He will be missed

Chapter and Branch Officers were sworn in by Chapter Past President Mark Juliano

President Ron Ribaric presented a plaque of appreciation to Immediate Past President Karen Johnson for her service as President

All Past Presidents were recognized at this time

Immediate Past - President Ron Ribaric spoke of his past year as President and again thanked Corporate Events for their dedication and much hard work during the year, his steering committee for their commitment to the Florida Chapter’s 50th Anniversary Celebration and the members and attendees of the Conference and Trade Show

President Kim Kirby spoke of her goals for the upcoming year
