The West entrance to Jackson Park, where the Henderson County Extension Office is located is
currently closed The park is changing the location of a portion of the road through Jackson Park as well as resurfacing the entire road through the park Construction in the park will continue at least until September You must use the East entrance (see below) for the meeting on the 17thThe directions
to get to the Extension Office will depend on which entrance to the park is open So I'll give you two sets of directions As we get closer to the August 17 NCMGVA Board Meeting, I'll let you know which entrance the Board should use to get to the Extension Office
For the east entrance into Jackson Park:
I-40 west to I-26 east (going south) - Exit 46A (on the left)
I-26 east to exit 53 (Upward Road) (East Flat Rock Exit) (Business 25, 176 West)
Turn Right and go 1.2 miles to Spartanburg Highway
Turn right and go 1.4 miles to Glover Street
Go 5 miles and turn left (this is still Glover) at the entrance to the Park The Extension Office is located 740 Glover Street (on the left side of the Street)
Nearby Accommodations:
At Exit 49B, there is a Ramada Inn (828-697-0006), Hampton Inn, and Quality Inn (800-424-6423)
At Exit 53, there is Mountain Inn and Suites (828-693-9910 or 828-692-7772)) and Mountain Lodge (828-693-9910)
There is also the historic Inn on Church (a bed and breakfast) (828-693-3258) in downtown
