For admission onto one of the specific MSc courses at NTU, students must hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK undergraduate honours degree (2.2 or above) A full transcript showing the student’s results and confirmation of degree must be provided by the partner institution before submitting to NTU

* Students progressing to the MSc Economics must hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to a

UK undergraduate honours degree (2.2 or above) in a Business and Management-related subject and must have studied Economics to at least undergraduate level two and Quantitative Methods including Statistical Theory to undergraduate level one

** Student progressing to the MSc Finance will need to provide some evidence of quantitative

ability (for MSc FinTech and Financial Markets, Applicants will require a solid foundation on

quantitative methods that could have been acquired through modules completed during their undergraduate studies Some examples of these modules can be: Statistics, quantitative methods, financial mathematics, data analytics, and any coding-related modules)

*** Students progressing to the MSc Finance and Accounting must hold a degree equivalent to a

UK undergraduate honours degree (2.2 or above) in Accounting and Finance

English Language Requirements

Students are required to obtain an International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS)

Academic examination score of:

• For 1-year masters course of at least 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component

• For 2-year masters of at least 6.5 grade overall with a minimum of 6.0 in speaking and

listening, and 5.5 in reading and writing

Candidates who meet the required academic standards for the relevant NTU Course, but whose English test score is marginally below that required for entry to the specified course may, at the discretion of the NBS course team at NTU, still be issued with a conditional offer These students will be invited to and must attend the “English for Academic Purposes” course at NTU in order to boost their English Level This does not change the requirements for visa purposes stated by the
