A candidate for the LLM must have earned a Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from a law school that is a member of the Association of American Law Schools or is

English Conditional Admission:
To ensure that graduate students will be well-prepared for advanced study at the University of Denver, non-native English speaking students may be conditionally admitted to certain graduate degree programs pending proof of English proficiency This English Conditional Admission (ECA) option is available to applicants only in certain departments who are academically admissible and who have sufficient proof
of financial support In order to begin a degree program under the ECA option, students must either present the minimum TOEFL/IELTS score or complete the University's English Language Center's full-time intensive language courses, which may take between 10 weeks and 18 months depending on placement test results and the student's individual progress Academic courses may not be taken while students are enrolled at the English Language Center Please see this chart to see what

Trang 4Graduate Teaching Assistantship: Any graduate applicant whose native language
is not English who wishes to be considered for any graduate teaching assistantship (except GRA) during any year of study in any graduate department must demonstrate fluency in spoken English English speaking proficiency is demonstrated by scoring a minimum of 26 on the Internet-Based TOEFL (iBT) exam speaking section or an IELTS speaking band score of 8.0 This GTA requirement must be met by all non-native English speakers, regardless of educational background or citizenship status

Steps for obtaining your visa
After you have been admitted to the University of Denver, you will need to take
these steps to obtain an F-1 Student Visa (or DS-2019 for a J-1 visa)
Fill out the Financial Verification Form and send original bank documents Students requesting an I-20 to apply for an F-1 Student Visa must show that enough money is available to pay for at least the first year of their degree program as well as the estimated living expenses for any dependents It is assumed that this amount will be available for each additional year of study Students requesting a DS-2019 to apply for a J-1 Visa must show that enough money is available to pay for the duration of their degree program as well as the estimated living expenses for any dependents IF you have questions regarding the requirements for J-1 Visas, please contact the Office of

Cost per credit for AY 2015-2016: $1,474
Tuition and Fees $35, 376.00 (based on two full-time semesters
with twelve credits each semester) Room/ Rent/ Board/ Household Items $14, 175.00
Estimated costs for married law students accompanied by their families will be higher For a spouse add an additional $4,000; for each minor dependent add an additional $4,000 The expenses listed above do not include transportation to or from the home country and the United States, or an extravagant choice of entertainment and free time activities The students should be prepared for reasonable increases brought about by inflationary pressure on the United States economy which could affect the University of Denver
