Dear Friend,

UMass Lowell’s Center for Women and Work (CWW) is pleased to invite you to

participate in our fifth annual Women’s Works event taking place on Thursday November

29th, 2012 from 2:00 to 7:00pm at UMass Lowell’s Inn and Conference Center in

downtown Lowell This occasion is a celebration of the creativity of UMass Lowell

women and other talented regional women artists, and we are hoping you will join us CWW is an interdisciplinary center dedicated to advancing knowledge about the

relationship between gender and work Through our Women’s Works event we seek to

highlight the diverse talents of women—including the many hidden creative and artistic talents of our current and former UMass Lowell staff and students and their immediate

families Women’s Works will be part craft fair, part art show, part performance art, and

large part fundraiser for the Center for Women and Work

We would like to invite you to be a part of this celebration of women by sharing your creativity If you can join us as a creative vendor, please look over the attached forms with information about reserving a spot

Women’s Works 2012 Contract

Here is what we are asking of all participants:

1 Please sign the attached contract and forward it to us at CWW, along with a deposit payable to CWW for $25.00 for UMass affiliated vendors ($15.00 for current students) and $35.00 for off campus vendors UMass affiliation is defined

as all current and former employees and students and their immediate families

2 Given this is CWW’s primary fundraiser, we are asking that all participating vendors also donate 25% of the days’ receipts to the Center The deposit of

$15.00/$25.00/$35.00 will be credited towards your contribution to CWW at the end of the day

3 We are also organizing a silent auction and raffle We are asking that all

exhibitors donate at least one item for either the auction or raffle Items valued over $25 will be placed in the silent auction Anything under that amount will be

in the raffle We need these items by November 14th in order to effectively organize these aspects of the event

4 We would like to operate on an honor system, so we ask that each vendor keep track of her own receipts for the day

5 At the end of the day, please report to the check-out table to reconcile the 25% donation from your sales

6 The hall will be open one hour prior to the event start time If you require more time for set up, please let us know at least a week in advance of the event

7 We will provide tables, chairs, white tablecloth and, if required, easels for

displaying your art Please feel free to bring your own display materials if you so desire

8 Please let us know on the attached form if there are any other items (electricity, etc.) that you may require
