Overview:

This interactive, hands-on course will focus on Rotordynamics, Vibration Analysis, and Gas Turbine

Compressor Performance Testing

Students will have the unique opportunity to practice what they have learned by taking part in a live

demonstration on rotordynamic issues and characterization of key instabilities in the gas turbine

laboratory at SwRI They will also be participating in a hands-on test at the SwRI Natural Gas

Closed-Loop Facility

Real life case studies will further enhance the students’ skills in troubleshooting rotordynamic issues,

vibration analysis, and gas turbine compressor performance testing Acquiring and perfecting these

skills will enable them to go back to the workplace and perform their job with a much higher level of

performance and accuracy
