Applicants for the CEEAA Board must be an alumnus with a degree from the CEE Department and should demonstrate the following characteristics:
• Enthusiasm for the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering;
• Willingness to commit time and energy to prepare for and attend board meetings and functions, including special events for a period of at least four years;
• Willingness to serve on committees and complete given assignments;
• Activity in the profession and participation in other professional and/or civic organizations;
• Ability to work well with people individually and in a group;
• Willingness to mentor CEE students and support faculty;
• Willingness to financially support the Department, College, and University
