The decisional balance construct (Janis & Mann, 1977) was examined as apotential variable interacting with readiness to change delinquent behaviors(Transtheoretical Model; Prochaska & Di Clemente, 1984; 1993) of adjudicatedadolescents. One hundred eightyeight adolescents indicated by questionnaire:1) their stage of readiness to change and 2) the degree to which they identifiedwith pros and cons to changing their behavior. The results support and replicatethe applicaton of the transtheoretical model in understanding the change processfor delinquent youth

Psi Chi offers undergraduate students the opportunity to take the final step in the Research processpublication! The National Honor Society in Psychology has inaugurated a national topoftheline, fully reviewed, quarterly journal dedicated to the publication of undergraduate student research. Submissions are now being accepted for review on an ongoing basis
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTRIBUTORS
1. The primary author of submitted manuscripts must be an undergraduate
student who is a member of Psi Chi. Manuscripts from graduate students will be accepted only), if the work was completed as an undergraduate student. Additional authors other than the primary author may include nonPsi Chi students as well as the faculty mentor
or supervisor. Membership verification information for the primary author must be included
on content, method, APA style, grammar, and overall presentation; and(3) that the planning, execution, and writing of the manuscript
represent primarily the work of the undergraduate student
