PREFACE/LỜI GIỚI THIỆU

Trong môi trường hội nhập quốc tế ngày càng gia tăng của các doanh nghiệp, xí nghiệp, nhà máy trong cả nước , yêu cầu về trình độ tiếng Anh của người lao động cũng được nâng lên để phù hợp với tiêu chuẩn, yêu cầu của việc làm và xã hội Việc đào tạo người lao động ngày nay không chỉ là hoàn thiện kĩ năng nghề mà còn đảm bảo trình độ tiếng Anh đủ tốt để có thể nắm bắt và tiếp cận được công nghệ mới , nghiên cứu tài liệu, cập nhật kiến thức tiên tiến từ nước ngoài , đáp ứng nhu cầu về nguồn nhân lực có chất lượng cao cho thị trường lao động

Trên tinh thần đó, ngày 17 tháng 01 năm 2019 , Bộ trưởng Bộ Lao động TB-XH đã ban hành Thông tư 03/2019/TT-BLĐTBXH quy định và hướng dẫn về “chương trình môn học tiếng Anh thuộc khối các môn học chung trong chương trình đào tạo trình độ trung cấp” cho các trường dạy nghề trong cả nước Đây là chương trình tiếng Anh tổng quát, đảm bảo người học có khả năng sử dụng ngôn ngữ ở cấp độ cơ bản Theo yêu cầu của thông

tư, quyển Giáo trình Tiếng Anh được biên soạn nhằm giúp các em học sinh hệ trung cấp của trường Cao đẳng nghề An Giang được học tiếng Anh theo tài liệu mới phù hợp với chương trình mới của Bộ Lao động Đó là, nội dung phải đảm bảo việc phát triển đồng bộ về cả kiến thức và bốn kĩ năng nghe-nói-đọc-viết ở cấp độ cơ bản, “sao cho học sinh hệ trung cấp khi ra trường phải đạt được trình độ năng lực Tiếng Anh Bậc 1theo Khung năng lực ngoại ngữ 6 bậc dùng cho Việt Nam” (trích Thông tư 03/2019/TT-BLĐTBXH)

Đây là sự biên soạn tổng hợp dựa trên các thông tư và các tài liệu theo yêu cầu của Bộ Lao động, có sử dụng thêm bài đọc và hình ảnh minh họa trên nguồn internet để phù hợp với nội dung được yêu cầu trong chương trình khung của Bộ Lao động, được người biên soạn ghi lại nguồn trích dẫn trong phần Tài liệu tham khảo, để đảm bảo không vi phạm quyền sở hữu trí tuệ Ngoài ra, giáo trình được thiết kế theo phương pháp giao tiếp nên có nhiều và đa dạng bài tập nghe nói hơn so với ngữ pháp và bài đọc Hai kĩ năng nói-viết (productive skills) cũng được nhấn mạnh và lồng ghép trong đa số các bài tập Tuy nhiên, do phải đảm bảo soạn đầy

đủ theo chương trình hướng dẫn của Bộ Lao động, nên nội dung khá nhiều so với tiết dạy thông thường – khi giáo viên không sử dụng công nghệ giáo án điện tử, hoặc khi trình độ học sinh quá thấp Do đó, người biên soạn đề nghị rằng, tùy theo trình độ của học sinh, giáo viên

có thể tự thiết kế hoặc giảng dạy hết nội dung mỗi phần tại lớp hoặc cho học sinh tự tham khảo một số nội dung ở nhà, nếu dạy không kịp giờ do lớp học yếu Ngược lại, với các lớp học sinh

có trình độ tốt, người biên soạn khuyến khích các giáo viên tự thiết kế thêm các hoạt động phù hợp với trình độ lớp mình để tiết học tiếng Anh trở nên sinh động, dễ hiểu, gần gũi và dễ nắm bắt hơn với học sinh, tạo một môi trường dạy và học tiếng Anh tích cực hơn trong trường Cao đẳng nghề An Giang sao cho phát huy hết khả năng của người học, để các em học sinh cảm thấy thích thú và đam mê học tập, không còn sợ học môn tiếng Anh theo tâm lý chung nữa

Mặc dù trong quá trình biên soạn đã cố gắng tham khảo nhiều sách vở, tài liệu và được sự hỗ trợ nhiệt tình từ các giáo viên trong tổ Ngoại ngữ, nhưng không thể tránh khỏi sai sót Rất mong tiếp tục nhận được những góp ý chân thành từ thầy cô và các em học sinh sử dụng giáo trình trong quá trình dạy và học, để giáo trình ngày càng trở nên hoàn thiện hơn

GIỚI THIỆU VỀ GIÁO TRÌNH MÔN HỌC Tên môn học: Tiếng Anh

Thời gian thực hiện: 90 giờ, (Lý thuyết: 30 giờ; Thực hành, thảo luận, bài

tập: 56 giờ; Kiểm tra: 4 giờ)

I Vị trí, tính chất của môn học

1 Vị trí: Môn học Tiếng Anh là một trong các môn học ngoại ngữ bắt buộc

thuộc khối các môn học chung trong chương trình đào tạo trình độ trung cấp

2 Tính chất: Chương trình môn học Tiếng Anh này bao gồm các kiến thức,

kỹ năng sử dụng Tiếng Anh cơ bản trong đời sống, học tập và hoạt động nghề nghiệp phù hợp với trình độ được đào tạo

II Mục tiêu môn học

Sau khi học xong chương trình ở trình độ trung cấp, người học đạt được trình độ năng lực Tiếng Anh Bậc 1 theo Khung năng lực ngoại ngữ 6 bậc dùng cho Việt Nam, cụ thể:

1 Về kiến thức

Nhận biết và giải thích được các cấu trúc ngữ pháp cơ bản về thành phần của câu, cách sử dụng thì hiện tại và quá khứ, phân loại danh từ, đại từ và tính từ; nhận biết được các từ vựng về giới thiệu bản thân và người khác, các hoạt động hàng ngày, sở thích, địa điểm, thực phẩm và đồ uống, các sự kiện đặc biệt và kỳ nghỉ

2 Về kỹ năng

a) Kỹ năng nghe: Theo dõi và hiểu được lời nói khi được diễn đạt chậm, rõ ràng, có khoảng ngừng để kịp thu nhận các thông tin về các chủ đề liên quan đến thành viên gia đình, các hoạt động giải trí trong thời gian rảnh rỗi, vị trí đồ vật trong nhà, các loại thức ăn và đồ uống phổ biến, các hoạt động trong các dịp lễ hoặc sự kiện đặc biệt, du lịch, các hoạt động hàng ngày và các sở thích

b) Kỹ năng nói: Đưa ra và hồi đáp các nhận định đơn giản liên quan đến các chủ đề rất quen thuộc như tự giới thiệu bản thân, gia đình, nghề nghiệp, trình bày

sở thích, đặt câu hỏi về số lượng, trình bày về những ngày lễ hoặc sự kiện đặc biệt,

du lịch, các hoạt động hàng ngày và các sở thích

c) Kỹ năng đọc: Đọc hiểu các đoạn văn bản ngắn và đơn giản về các chủ đề thông qua các bài đọc có liên quan đến giới thiệu bạn bè, các hoạt động trong thời gian rảnh rỗi, nơi chốn, các món ăn và thức uống phổ biến, các ngày lễ đặc biệt và

kỳ nghỉ, các hoạt động hàng ngày và các sở thích

d) Kỹ năng viết: Viết được những cụm từ, câu ngắn về bản thân, gia đình, trường lớp, nơi làm việc, sở thích và các hoạt động trong thời gian rảnh rỗi, mô tả nhà ở, thức ăn và đồ uống, các lễ hội và dịp đặc biệt, các kỳ nghỉ và các sở thích

3 Về năng lực tự chủ và trách nhiệm

- Nhận thức được tầm quan trọng của ngoại ngữ nói chung và Tiếng Anh nói riêng, có trách nhiệm trong việc sử dụng tiếng Anh trong đời sống, học tập và nghề nghiệp;

- Có thể làm việc độc lập hoặc theo nhóm trong việc áp dụng tiếng Anh vào học tập, lao động và các hoạt động khác

(Theo Thông tư số 03/2019/TT-BLĐTBXH ngày 17 tháng 01 năm 2019 của Bộ

trưởng Bộ Lao động - Thương binh và Xã hội)

Giáo trình được thiết kế trong 90 tiết Nội dung được phân bố theo 8 đơn vị bài học và 2 bài ôn tập sau mỗi 4 đơn vị, với mỗi phần tương đương 9 tiết giảng dạy Điểm tích cực của giáo trình

là người biên soạn chia mỗi đơn vị bài học làm 3 phần rõ rệt, dựa trên chủ điểm của bài học Mỗi phần được thiết kế theo số la mã từ I đến III, để giáo viên và học sinh tiện tham khảo Phần nội dung kết hợp xen kẽ kiến thức từ vựng, ngữ pháp và 4 kĩ năng nghe-nói-đọc-viết, để đảm bảo việc học không đơn điệu, gây nhàm chán cho học sinh

III SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES

1 READING - ARE THEY SPORTS?

a) Read the text and write the names of the sports for the photos

1 Some people say free running isn’t really a sport You can’t usually enter competitions or win medals or prizes, and most the runners aren’t interested in them You can do free running in a town or city It’s a very dangerous activity because the runners run, jump and climb fast – over walls, rocks and buildings They use their hands and feet and move like cats They want to feel free!
