But on the last day our car broke down We didn’t speak French and we needed to get to

When we arrived at the station, Simon said, “Don’t worry I speak a little French.” He ran to the
ticket office and bought us two tickets He asked a guard in French, “Excuse me! Which
platform for Boulogne?” “Platform 7,” said the guard, ‘but hurry! It leaves in two minutes.”
We ran to platform 7 and got on the train We said goodbye and thanked Simon “You’re
welcome,” he said “Have a good trip!” The train left, and we started to talk to an Italian tourist
