Write the past form of the verbs below

  Lan  and  her  friends  are  holding  a  farewell party for Maryam. Write the  things  they  did  to  prepare  for  the  party.  Use  the  pictures  and  words  in  the box.

1 Lan made a cake.

GRAMMAR:

C uấ trúc câu điều ước ở hiện tại

*Cách dùng : để diễn tả điều ước trái với sự thật ở hiện tại

*cấu trúc : S1 + wish(es)+S2 +V2/Ved

To be -> WERE

 I wish I were in the swimming pool.

b. You don’t have a computer.

 I wish I had a computer.

c. You live very far from school.

 I wish I didn’t live very far from school.

d. You can not draw well.

 I wish I could draw well.

e. You don’t have your friend’s phone number.

 I wish I had my friend’s phone number.

f. There aren’t any rivers and lakes in your hometown.

  I wish there were rivers and lakes in my hometown.

3.Write wishes in these situations

“ I wish”

1. I have to study hard.

­> I wish we didn’t have a lot of homework

3. It is raining heavily

­> I wish it didn’t rain heavily

4. They work slowly.  

­> I wish they worked quikly

5. She doesn’t join on the trip. 

­> I wish she joined on the trip

6. I am not good at English

­> I wish I were good at English

7. He studies badly. 

­> I wish he studied well./ I wish he didn’t study badly

8. He doesn’t like playing sports

­> I wish he liked playing sports

1 Revise the past simple tense and the

structure with “wish”.

2 Write Exercise 3 (page 12) in the notebook.
